Alia Shawkat, born April 18, 1989, in Riverside California (United States), is one of television's most popular and successful actors. She played Maeby Funke in the Fox show Arrested Development a role that brought her a TV Land Future Classic Award. Shawkat was one of the cast members in the film Whip It alongside Ellen Page. Shawkat was Hannah from 2001 to 2004 in State of Grace. Shawkat portrayed Maeby Funke throughout the entire run of Arrested development between 2003 and 2018, as part of its regular cast.
