Alia Shawkat was born in Riverside, California on the 18th of April 1989. She's currently one of the most well-known and wealthy TV actresses. Maeby Funke in Arrested Development on Fox earned her the TV Land Future Classic Award. She was also in Whip It along with Ellen Page. From 2001-2004, Shawkat played Hannah in State of Grace. Shawkat portrayed Maeby Funke throughout all of Arrested Development's run from 2003 to the year 2018 when she was a part of the regular cast. Shawkat received praise for Shawkat's appearances on the show. Brian M. Palmer noted she was one the brightest lighthouses in a universe dominated by the other lights. Scott Weinberg, of eFilmCritic, described her as hilarious. In an A.V. Shawkat stated in 2010 at the A.V. The Hollywood Reporter reports that the show centers around two hipsters that move from Brooklyn in Los Angeles' Silver Lake neighborhood in order to become art enthusiasts. Alice Braga has also played in the role of Teresa Mendoza within the crime thriller/drama TV show Queen of the South. Her career has seen her received huge praise for her work.
