Abi Clarke
In the olden
days, i.e. Early 2020. In the olden days comedians could have hoped to tour
across the UK for several years prior to getting invited to join a television
panel, and later selling an arena tour. It's not an easy task at present. One
form of art that can be performed live in the future is comedy, however there
won't soon be any arena tour. One Bristol comedian has found an immense global
audience during lockdown via social media. Abi Clarke never set out to be an
internet star. Abi, who is 24 lives in Henbury. She began posting videos online
"to create a network of like-minded individuals who would enjoy my standup
comedy." "I performed a lot in Devon to men aged 50 and older who
were not so enthusiastic about my Love Island Sims and Twilight references, so
I decided to search online for other young women who would appreciate my
stand-up comedy." Abi, who lives in Henbury with her parents, continues to
upload her video content to Instagram, Twitter, and Tik Tok. Her inspiration
comes from a variety of sources, such as conversations with strangers, the
chatroom, and also writing down all her thoughts on her smartphone.
